Where It Started
How it got built.
Andrew has managed rental properties for over a decade — 700+ doors, based in Portland, Oregon, where running a property management company requires a particular kind of patience. He uses the software. He knows what it can and can't do.
What it couldn't do: show him where his properties were. Every week, he'd export a list from his PMS, open Google Maps, and manually piece together his inspection schedule. He knew it was a bad system. He also knew nothing existed to replace it. So he called Max — a developer he'd known since college — with the idea. Max had just brought his newborn son home from the hospital. He said he'd think about it and went back to sleep.
He did think about it. A few weeks later, there was a prototype. It had a map. It showed the properties. It could plan a route. They didn't ship it — not because it was broken, but because it wasn't good enough yet. Andrew had opinions. Max had standards. They spent the next several months building something they'd actually want to use.
They first showed it publicly at the Rentvine User Conference in May 2026. Jon Ewen, Rentvine's president, called it "very cool." We're choosing to take that at face value.
What We Believe
PMS software is a database. A good one.
It stores your properties, tracks your leases, handles your accounting. But storing data and making it useful are two different problems. Most property management software solves the first one and leaves you with the second.
Property management is spatial work. Your properties are spread across a city. Your inspections follow geography, not alphabetical order. Routing happens on roads, not in rows of a spreadsheet. A table full of addresses is not a plan — it's a starting point.
The right interface doesn't show you everything. It shows you what matters and makes the next step obvious. That's what we built VestaGlass to do.
VestaGlass makes scattered property data clear, so property managers can plan faster, act with confidence, and spend less time getting to what matters.

Max built VestaGlass from scratch. His background is in game development — which sounds unrelated until you realize that game developers spend most of their time thinking about how software feels to use, not just what it does. He's been programming since he was 12, which he describes as "apparently a late start." Before VestaGlass, he spent years freelancing and building things. He's the reason the product is obsessively well-designed.
